I went a little crazy with my dvd list posts last night, so we'll go easy on me this morning.

Next up in the PHOTOS OF MY LIFE request stream is Batshit Insane Belgian artist grafunkel...
He requested:

The shots aren't the clearest ever, as my camera got dropped recently and is now a bit wonky. :(

Life, it keeps getting better.

Part One:

A few months ago Lovely Wife Sara convinced me to watch a movie she loved as a child that had just come out on DVD, a movie called Savannah Smiles. I asked Geoff at That's Rentertainment -- best video store EVAR -- if he was getting it in, and he said he would call me when it arrived.

He did, we watched it, and I cried like a little girl at this children's movie about bank robbers who accidentally kidnap the Cutest Child Ever.

Anyway, when the tears ended, I took a photo of myself. If you think this is bad, you should see how ugly I am when I'm actually in the process of crying:



Yesterday Belgian artist grafunkel   was inspired by the last few days worth of photos and did me up right proper-like.


And if you missed it, you'd better see what pyrotech_c3h8  did for me at the same time, complete independently.

I'm scripting the Sir Reginald v. Man-X story for grafunkel for illustrationamating.

This pin-up he drew of ben_templesmith's character Wormwood, Gentleman Corpse, made it into issue #2 of the IDW comic series of the same name.

Current Sir Reginald art update:

jimmahgee = Has had original Sir Reg story written for him to draw
andyluke = We're coordinating a new story for him to draw
the_crowchan = Am writing original story for her to draw
chuckdawg = Has laid claim to illustrating the first Sir Reginald story
grafunkel = Has laid claim to illustrating the Man-X story
mearn4d10 = Is working on "Perspectived Sir Reginald" piece (whatever that means)

EDIT: scud_o = Will be doing a film version of the Man-X story
fairyarmadillo = Will be doing a photoplay I will write for her, starring her lovely locura_insomnio

Anybody else I'm missing?

Want a piece of the action? Nothing will be rejected, even if your art is as bad as mine.

Let me know if you want to lay claim to a previously written story or if you want an original one. If you want the latter, let me know what format you want it written in, i.e. five pages, one released each day; comic strip format; one big silly splash page; et cetera.

Someday maybe we'll get to anthologize these, in the manner of Project: Superior and the like.
