If you recognize the people behind the characters, I'd love to give them Proper Mad Props. I hope somebody knows who they are.

benchilada and I have been working hard on our costumes but opportunities to show them off and hang out with fantastic type people are few and far between. This Halloween malaise isn't just in central Illinois, none of my California peoples seem to be doing much either. Is it because Halloween's on a Monday? That's where my blame has been firmly placed because the thought that my friends just aren't into Halloween any more is too terrible to consider.
What are you fine folks doing/being? My costume is still a slight surprise so you'll have to wait till after Saturday for pictures."

My Robot is, for her job, "looking for a space around the Washington Square/NYU area to hold an information session, Oct 27th in the evening (6ish?), space for 30 to 40, needs to have a projector and screen for a Power Point." They'll be providing foodstuffs.

If you somehow slept through that part of the internet, The Onion A.V. Club interviewed They Might Be Giants and included their standard demand that guest acts perform a song from a list provided for them.
The result is here and fucking awesome. Read the bit below the video before watching it.
So, what did John, John, Dan, Dan, and Marty do as an appropriate response?
On Friday, in Chicago, they brought the whole A.V. Club onstage as a guitar army to play a different song, before swinging into the one they originally covered.
Fucking sweet.

I don't have coprolalia like some people with Tourette's do, but--as with most people with TS--my brain DOES love to swear. Sometimes my unbidden use of these words is very interesting.
