Was up until about 3:30 am last night.

Cleaned up the latest draft of the first few pages of LAST SHOT for Karl, so we can see if it's more dynamic now.

In 20 minutes, will drive the 2 1/2 hours north to Chicago to visit Sara's family and see RIGOLETTO.
Well, Sara will probably drive.

That's it.

I'm sleepy, and will probably plot more Mo-Lan Devils stuff in the car, maybe do the next few pages of LAST SHOT, and then fall asleep.

Smooches,

Another preliminary sketch (shrunk down) from Karl Bryhn for our comic, LAST SHOT.
This shows Dan and Jimmy making their way down a hallway.

Don't worry about Dan being shot. He's cool with it.

Karl knows what he's doing.

My wife is reading The Boy Who Couldn’t Stop Washing: The Experience and Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Now she’s telling me that I shouldn’t have had pesto tonight, as it will make my basal ganglia problems (Tourette’s, OCD, et al) worse.

Get it? Yeah, nothing like late Sunday night humor.

She also just pointed out to me, however, that I often put my hand or fingers in front of my mouth when I speak. I’ve never noticed this, but realized I was doing it when I told her I would try to be more aware of it. She said that I have a very loud voice to begin with, though. I think that’s the first time she’s said that and meant it in a good way.

It’s always interesting to me when others notice compulsions that I have no idea that I have.

Very twitchy for the past week as I adjust to new Tourette’s medication doseages.

Also wrote two more articles for Shonen Jump, bringing my total to four. First one comes out this Tuesday. You can be certain that I’ll remind you.

Back to reading some more Ranma ½ before doing more work on the comic script for Last Shot.

In conclusion, two new icons I made, one of which will only be funny to a few people, one of which will be funny to even less people.

Such is the way of the misunderstood comic genius.

Ganking a page from [livejournal.com profile] man_size's usual Friday playbook:

What's on your plate for the day weekend?

A SNEAK PEEK AT THE PRELIMINARY PLANNING FOR MY STORY "Last Shot" TO BE TURNED INTO A COMIC.

The latest in early character sketches by Karl Bryhn [robokat on flickr]. Hank's gonna end up looking pretty much like this, but a touch more jowly. Not in perfect shape, our Hank. Or rather, Jimmy. Oh, you'll understand when it comes out.

The sketch here is an earlier version, but the body shape is pretty close to what it's gonna be. )

Karl's damn good, he is...
You can find part one of "Jimmy the Spook, Ghost in a Bottle," RIGHT HERE.

And now, unproofread, Your Feature Presentation: )
So, after reading a bit o' fun-nessosity from [livejournal.com profile] man_size and [livejournal.com profile] digitante (both of whose FUCKING journals you should be FUCKING reading), I felt prompted to repost this, so it'll be fresh in my brain -- hah -- when I get back to work on it later on. It keeps shifting between screenplay format and story format...let me know if you have ideas on how to make up its mind.
