I was blocked on art, so I asked for suggestions.

[livejournal.com profile] nhyrvana recommended I draw a pie. Independently of that, [livejournal.com profile] fairyarmadillo suggested that I draw a lemon meringue pie.

I made a "compromise" for which I offer no apologies.

Lemon Merengue Pi
We will never again hear the words "Dude, slip the new Public Enemy cassette into the ghetto blaster."
Nobody will ever say "Put that Pixies tape into the boom box."

These are merely observations.

Unrelated, I love David Letterman these days.
Take it, Paris. TAKE IT!
Words she's heard before, sure, but not like I mean it.

I love this song like nobody's business. It makes me feel good about life.

Right click to save to your computer or open in a new tab to hear it through your browser.

Especially you, [profile] nhyrvana, although you might not normally think of it as your type of music.

Dunno. But here it is.

"Johnny's Camaro - David Wilcox
Everybody thinks I'm kidding when I say I go into Chinese restaurants and say "Surprise me."

Today I went to Cravings with [livejournal.com profile] nhyrvana  and told the guy there--who knows my "Don't tell me what it is until I eat it" tendencies--that I was having kinda a down day and that I wanted something that would make me feel better.

He actually wandered around for several minutes, looking at all of the only-in-Chinese food signs hanging on the walls, and eventually did a little "Ah hah!"

This Is What He Gave Me )

I fucking love that place.
And I DO feel better now.
THIS ENTRY IS EXCLUSIVELY INTENDED TO MAKE [livejournal.com profile] nhyrvana JEALOUS:

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

My brain does not work properly. It's a good thing I found these in Chinatown.

Tell me these are not the coolest damn pills ever. I mean, sure, the ingredients are in Latin, which means there are about six ingredients that, instead of saying "seed" say "semen," but hey...

More pictures of Chinatown and Chinese food and more. )

Current Music: LOST on the television
How fuckredible is it that I have friends like [livejournal.com profile] nhyrvana to call me and make sure I know it's snowing, since they know that I love it so much?

Then again, she's biased. After all, last winter I made a phone post that she turned into a smooth techno song.

At work, wanting to write, ready to listen to "Ridiculously Beautiful" by DJ Evily feat. benjamin sTone on my iPod.
Done editing King of Fighters 2003, v.3, and am almost done editing Journal of the Vampire Hunter: Claws of Darkness for DrMaster.

Later, I have to write for you.

MAKE ME WRITE FOR YOU! EDITING MANGA IS EATING MY BRAIN RIGHT NOW!
I need to remember that I, too, have an imagination. Me am for to be write words! Puppy!

Also, a vague review of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou later.

For now:

Songs after that? --> http://www.last.fm/user/benchilada/
So, friend [livejournal.com profile] nhyrvana posted a challenge in our writing group, [livejournal.com profile] nethermind_wg.

A story, no more than three paragraphs, using the following words: sardine, hydrofoil, emergency.

Bonus points for using imaginary word "floof."

Again, I say Living Fuck.

[livejournal.com profile] nhyrvana has kicked all available ass.

She's turned a majority of my first ever phone post into a techno mp3 ('cause she's a DJ with the MaDD +3kn0 5k1llz) called "Monkey and Robots."

It's fucking hysterical, and I was just dancing to it in my basement.

Talk to her or me and (provided she agrees) we can see about getting it out to you. :D
