Last year, when we painted the back of our house--which was a nightmare in and of itself--we also took down the massive screens on our back porch.

Now  birds keep trying to build nests in it. Nest where they will generate a mound of poop that will become a self-sustaining reaction.

I've had to take down three in the last twelve hours, and I can see through my office window that they're building another.

I have a nasty feeling that I'm smearing bird shit on my karma.
[profile] talkingcricket is a hystericalist webcartoonist.

He is also behind on his rent, and he's doing a fundraising thing where he's doing a comic an hour until his time to pay his back-rent is up.
For every 20 dollars raised, he will also not smoke for a day.
If he raises 600, he'll quit for good.

He's a great guy, a great cartoonist, and really deserves the assist. Every dollar helps. I'm currently in the State of Poor, but I think I gave about seven bucks, which is seven more than he had.

We all like to think people would do the same for us, yes?

Go Here For Full Information then rummage through his comix, which are awesometastic.

Thanks,

benjamin
I'm sure y'all remember Katherine Harris, who all but guaranteed GWB's theft of the 2000 election?

------------------

"In an interview with the Florida Baptist Witness on August 24, Harris stated that if voters do not elect Christians, then they would be endorsing the legislation of sin. U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris told [them] that...the nation's founding fathers did not intend the country be "a nation of secular laws."

"If you are not electing Christians, tried and true, under public scrutiny and pressure, if you're not electing Christians then in essence you are going to legislate sin. They can legislate sin. They can say that abortion is alright. They can vote to sustain gay marriage. And that will take western civilization, indeed other nations because people look to our country as one nation as under God and whenever we legislate sin and we say abortion is permissible and we say gay unions are permissible, then average citizens who are not Christians, because they don't know better, we are leading them astray and it's wrong."

Harris also described the separation of church and state as a "lie we have been told" to keep religious people out of politics, and stated that "God is the one who chooses our rulers." She ended her interview by implying that Christians have more of a responsibility than non-Christians, who "do not know any better," in making political decisions regarding issues such as civil rights and stem cell research.

Even big-time Republicans are calling her out on this one.
Even Jeb Bush doesn't think she can get re-elected.

See what happens when you take massive illegal campaign donations from defense contractors?
See what happens when you lie to select a President?
See what happens when KARMA catches up with you?  ;D
