So...

Hanging out with friends is always fun.

Chinese food with friends is always fun, especially when there are twenty-five Chinese people having a holiday party in the restaurant, complete with loads of booze and about thirty-five toasts.

Even bad movies can be fun when seen with friends who have a big desire to see the movie.

That having been said...

IF YOU SEE ERAGON, I WILL BREAK YOUR FUCKING KNEES.

This has been a Public Service Announcement on behalf of YOUR FUCKING KNEES.

Last night was Saganaki Night at the Stone household. Only made THREE, but it was enough.

I learned the Magical Secrets of Saganaki years ago while working at Mykonos. Remember my hook-hand story?
I also took all of the late Constantine "Taki" Iatropoulos's greek records when the restaurant closed, so I was playing them for the presentations.

I used Kasseri and Kofalotiri cheese and breaded them and properly spiced them and brandied them and lit them on fire.

Speaking of lit, holy crap were most of us drunk. I didn't hit DRUNK, I just wandered around the border of drunk and Drunk.

But it was fabulous, and we ate fruit and vegetables and GODDAMNED FRIED CHEESE.

Fun with Molly, Jake, and

sarahsam, with whom I suspect I was separated at birth, or somesuch ridiculously cool brainwave-connection...thing.

All of them are made of awesome, and much geeking-out was done.

To reiterate: people kick ass and CHEESE on FIRE.

Last night I slept for just over 9 hours for the first time in about 9 months.

This was after Sara and I had margaritas and tacos and the like at Real Hacienda for

Apologies for my journal being vaguely uninteresting lately.

Most of my recent writing has been proprietary (Shonen Jump articles, Last Shot with Karl Bryhn, another Sekrit Projekt), so I haven't had much to put here.

Brilliantly fucked-up day today.

Started with breakfast at 7:30am. Who the hell is up at 7:30 am, and who is up early enough to go OUT for BREAKFAST? Kate and Staci and their twins, Kaia and Madeline is the correct answer. Ate, went to Farmer’s Market, bought lots of veggies.

Sara and I met with brother Matthew and his boy, Todd, in Mattoon, Illinois, where they were having their Sesquicentennial Celebration. Watch firemen fuck up cars with The Jaws of Life and something we called The Wedgie of Death.

Because I have no sense of shame or embarrassment, spontaneously entered pie-eating contest. Did not win. Am expecting photos from Matthew later. Afterwards, washed face in train station bathroom. Did not use bar of soap provided, as it appeared to have a black pubic hair on it.

Earlier today, received chuckdawg's entry into my second FUCK WITH MY ART command.

I left the art in its original container, because it’s even more The Awesome that way.
