You can find part one of "Jimmy the Spook, Ghost in a Bottle," RIGHT HERE.

And now, unproofread, Your Feature Presentation: )
[livejournal.com profile] man_size wrote it.
[livejournal.com profile] zegas drawed it.

It is called BROKEN, and after you read it, you will call them both Gods.

I get to be their little slobbering monkey-thing for making you all read its honey goodness.

Back soon with a post about how breakable the people of 1874 thought babies were. I am not, in fact, shitting you.

Last Book I Read a Page of: Tell you soon...
As you probably know, I work in the bookstacks of the University of Illinois library. At 10 million books, we fluctuate between being the 5th and the 6th largest library in the United States.

I get to find weirdass books.

Observe:

The Peep of Day; or, a Series of the Earliest Religious Instruction the Infant Mind is Capable of Receiving; with Verses Illustrative of the Subject

Not too odd, right?

This is part of the book, which they advise you read to your four or five year old, or have the five or six year old read on their own. 1874 was a pretty fucked-up year, I figure. )

So remember kids: God made you fragile, so be nice, or somebody will run “a great knife...through your body.”
