I'm halfway through.

It's a start.

It meanders a bit, but he makes the points he's trying to make, namely that whites have an obligation to face racism, since we all benefited from it whether we wanted to or not.

What's fun / horrifying is when you click on the one-star reviews in Amazon. One of the people also reviewed a book called Voices From Slavery: 100 Authentic Slave Narratives and said this about it:

"I could not stop reading narrative after narrative of personal slave stories. Makes you realize the misconceptions of those days as exaggerated by some book writers and yet shows you how people were either good or selfish. My eyes are open and I see a different, even benevolent result of the days of slavery. I love this book."

EDIT: I recognize that this is causing some consternation and conflict. I expected this and I wanted it. I ask only that you stay as civil as you can. I expect anger and confusion and questions, but if you feel your comments are about to degenerate into name-calling and screaming nonsense then please take a step back and don't post that comment.
