A lot of people have been asking about how Lovely Wife Sara is doing. Sadly, she's been getting worse. Her muscle pain and fatigue are spreading, making areas that were previously just sore become truly weak. In addition, she had a vitamin C pill get stuck in her throat, which burned her esophagus because of its high acid content. We have her on a liquid diet, since the burn is making it difficult to swallow. She's going in to see her doctor again today for advice / more medicine to help it heal. Since yesterday her entire mouth and throat have been painfully dry no matter how many fluids she drinks and it's making basic functions very difficult.
The rheumatologist she went to yesterday saw nothing that she could help. A visit to an infections diseases specialist turned up nothing and her second Lyme disease panel came back negative. Her second set of MRI's showed nothing out of the ordinary and she has had more blood drawn several times.
She will be going to Chicago in two weeks for a follow-up with her neurologist. If they don't find anything, they're going to do a spinal tap.
We've been reading lots of books and watching lots of movies and playing lots of games. She's also read every singe comment that y'all have left here and every e-mail you've sent to me and she wants me to pass on how insanely grateful she is that so many people she's never met have so many good thoughts for her.
