benchiladaA) I love my wife. When I send her an e-mail that only says:
"Me is good. I like turtles."
she responds with
"Oh my god. Me too! Let's get married."
B) I ripped a simply preposterous scene from a Hong Kong film called Running Out of Time 2. The original film is fantastic, but the sequel is just sorta a rehash of the first film. They both star one of my favorite actors, Lau Ching Wan, as a terrifically clever cop. In this movie he's chasing a master thief who's also a magician / escape artist.
The point is: THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST CHASE SCENES EVER. It's just...yeah. It simply is, mostly because of its WTFedness. And it just more and more preposterous the longer it goes, until it almost dips into some strange form of surrealism.
I left two minutes of fun intro and then you get seven minutes of "Are You Serious? They're Not Done Yet? Did He Just...Wait, Was That...The Hell?"
The thief is played by actor / pop-star Ekin Cheng, who sings the song that plays during the last leg of the chase. I think it hit the upper end of the HK music charts.
