So, my point is, here's your first chance to get off the "depressed about Bush's first election to the office of President" wagon and get on the "doing something about it" wagon.
The appointment of the Attorney General must be approved by the Senate.
Call your Senator, write your Senator a letter, or -- if you must, even though they tend to have less weight -- send him/her an e-mail expressing your concerns about this appointee and his public stances, which often fly in the face of the First, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment.
Don't promise you'll do it later.
Do it now.
