Sorry if you've already gotten an e-mail about this.
Okay, it’s year number eight or nine of “Send benjamin’s mother a Happy Birthday e-mail, even if you don’t know who she is and barely remember who benjamin is.”
A vast number of you have been through this before, but here’s the drill:
My mother lives in Florida.
I live in Illinois.
When I got married this summer – after eight years with the Divine Sara G. – it was the first time I’d seen Mama in nearly two years.
I can’t remember the last time I was with her on her birthday.
In addition, she refuses gifts from everybody.
As such, every year I beg my family, friends, acquaintances, and “What was your name again?’s” to take a few seconds to drop a note to her, wishing her a Happy Birthday.
Saturday, September 18 is her birthday. I don’t think she’ll mind if you send a day early or a few days late.
Her name is Annet Stein, and her e-mail is n8annet@hotmail.com
I thank all of you in advance for helping give the only gift she will accept to one of the single most important people in my life.
