benchiladaOkay, first there's this article that's clearly filler for CNN.COM, as there's no way that that much of the world cares that "40-Year Old Virgin actor charged with attempted murder".
I mean, it wasn't Steve Carrell, it was Shelley Malil, who played Haziz.
No? Maybe you remember that he was one of the guys in the Budweiser WHAZZAP?! commercials?
Still not able to picture him?
See, I'm sure that 3rd Man From The Left in That One Scene In Titanic once got in trouble with the law, too, but nobody ever shouted about it in the news.
Ugh. Hate you, celebrity news.
Anyway, my ultimate point was that this is the first time that I have heard a journalist admit to doing this for research:
"Authorities confirmed the victim's identity as Kendra Beebe. According to her Facebook page, she is a 35-year-old mother of two who works as an insurance broker in Carlsbad, California, a coastal suburb."
I hope they do this for every news article from now on, especially as they'll end up quoting some of my friends as being shit like 99 year-old Samoan rocket engineers.
