COMPUTER QUESTION!
I'm looking at getting Lovely Wife Saraeither a netbook of some sort of cheapass laptop.

She'll be using it primarily for internet stuff, with a little bit of word processing stuff and a little more movie/video viewing.
We need no bells or whistles. We're looking for BASIC functionality at a low price, Windows machines only. Generic brand is not a problem provided it won't shit itself after six months.
What would y'all recommend, computer junkies?
