Help...

Mar. 27th, 2005 12:56 am
It's fucking goddamn one a.m.
I only slept three hours last night, and now I'm still up.
I'm in a bit of a down mood. Am in Chicago, visiting Sara's family.

Here's the deal, and please, no matter how little you have to say about it, please weigh in on this:

I have two stories going. I know I can do both. But which one do YOU think I should focus on right now, and why? Can I sell it? To whom? Can I change it to a screenplay, or a comic script, or a pantomime?

Serge (and Mike, and the Moon Turk)

or

Jimmy the Spook

...or do you have another suggestion? Like "Stop writing, you shitty hack?"

Stand and deliver, zombies.

I'm finally getting serious about this shit.

So...

It looks like "Jimmy the Spook" is going to be finished first, then maybe my old NaNoWriMo novel, and I'll save "Serge, Mike, and the Moon Turk" until I'm famous and can pull a Grant Morrison, writing what *I* want to write, no matter how many drugs it seems that I've taken first.

Sometimes I really wish I did drugs. Or rather, drugs in addition to the ones that keep my brain from melting.

So, again, the stories are here if you feel like commenting:

---

Serge (and Mike, and the Moon Turk)

and

Jimmy the Spook

---

Jimmy the Spook is next, along with some partial comic script adaptations of some other stories for [livejournal.com profile] januarychill.

I promise, on a side note, that the madness of Serge is not random, it's really got somewhere to go.
It's just that it's writing itself like my brain works, which is not terribly safe for human consumption.

Thanks for your help, everybody, I really do appreciate it. I've been unnecessarily down on myself lately. And now, off I go, into the world of writing and actually trying to get published.

Wish me luck and whisky...

benjamin
